Press release2025.01.24
Jeil M&S, a secondary battery mixing equipment specialist, announced on the 10th that it won the ‘200 million dollar export tower’ at the ‘61st Trade Day’ event commemoration ceremony hosted by the Korea International Trade Association.
The ‘Export Tower’ is an award given to companies that have contributed to increasing exports and is selected based on export performance for one year from July 1st of last year to June 30th of this year. Jeil M&S’s export performance from July of last year to June of this year was 206.47 million dollars, an increase of approximately 1,983.9% compared to the same period of the previous year. Jeil M&S is continuing its significant export growth by winning the 200 million dollar export tower this year, following the 7 million dollar export tower in 2019 and the 10 million dollar export tower in 2022.
Established in 1986, Jeil M&S is the first company in Korea to domestically produce and commercialize secondary battery mixing equipment. It exports to eight countries around the world with overseas corporations in the US, Canada, Hungary, and Sweden. In particular, the company is the only company in Korea that produces mixing equipment for the defense industry, and its export performance is expected to grow rapidly in line with the recent increase in K-defense demand. Of the company’s accumulated sales of KRW 248.4 billion in the third quarter of this year, 98% is from overseas.
A company official said, “We have achieved the ‘200 million dollar export tower’ only in the secondary battery sector so far, but in the future, we will actively accompany our customers in the defense sector to overseas expansion with our overseas experience and know-how accumulated in the secondary battery sector, contributing to K-defense exports.”
Meanwhile, as global geopolitical conflicts intensify, the importance of independent national defense is being emphasized more, and exports of domestically produced guided weapons and conventional weapons are expected to expand even more rapidly. Accordingly, Jeil M&S is the only company that supplies defense mixing equipment to Hanwha Aerospace, LIG Nex1, and Poongsan, and is expected to directly benefit from the defense industry boom.
